- An REU will dramatically improve the performance of GEOS. Unfortunately GEOS
- is rather slow, and somewhat inconvenient running with only a single 1541.

- Put your GEOS boot disk back in the drive that it was in while you were
- running, and press RUN/STOP and RESTORE. (Or will RESTORE by itself do as
- well??) GEOS will load itself back into memory. If you have an REU this
- procedure is extremely fast, with a disk drive it will take almost the same
- amount of time as loading it manually.

-
- As for as I know, CMD is still SELLING copies of GEOS, so I don't think they
- would like it very much if someone was making copies of the manual available
- for people to download.

-
- If this Connexions mouse is 1531 compatible, then it will work with the 1531
- driver. The 1531 mouse uses two "circular" pots attached to the POTX and
- POTY inputs on the joystick port. If your mouse is an Amiga mouse (or a PC
- bus mouse), it generates quadrature signals for X and Y movement and will
- NOT work with the 1531 driver. It is possible to build a converter using a
- handful of chips.

-
- I don't think there are any other drivers out there other than the standard
- ones that come with GEOS. The one-page limit and the 60 calls per sec. limit
- make input drivers quite a challenge to hack err write.
-
- To change the colors use the "Pad color manager" utility (I can't remember
- the exact name) to change any or all of the colors to whatever you like.
